Assignment: explain its important social function

Svensk Adressändring, the Swedish postal address change authority, wanted to explain its important social function and raise the profile of its work. Appelberg was tasked with helping Svensk Adressändring to do so in an accessible and playful manner. The project was a collaboration with C by West.

Solution

The aim was to explain Svensk Adressändring’s unique position and its services, and how it is an important complement to the Swedish Tax Agency’s population registration. The film shows the personal consequences of not changing address through Svensk Adressändring, as well as the effect at a wider societal level.

The target group for the film was Swedish citizens who change their accounting address, change their address temporarily or otherwise are no longer based at the same address as previously.

Results: a message that engages and clarifies

We produced an animated film that was based on Svensk Adressändring’s own illustration style. We also made a longer film which explained in more detail the work and vision of Svensk Adressändring and which covered the main benefits for people who use its services. The main channel for the longer film was the authority’s website.
