Magasinet S is an appealing and accessible magazine that attracts a wide range of readers from both its natural constituency and beyond. It raises the visibility of SIS (the Swedish Institute for Standards) brand in strategically important target groups and serves as a basis for thought leadership, customer meetings and events.
Appelberg has created a brand-building magazine about innovation, sustainability and business development, with topical and engaging content and an accessible format that stands out and grabs the reader’s attention. Magasinet S gives SIS the opportunity to increase awareness of its brand and communicate relevant content, without talking specifically about standards. The content of each issue is also distributed digitally in newsletters and social media, and is used as a basis for customer meetings and events.
The autumn 2019 issue was about circular economy in the fashion industry, and Appelberg arranged a fashion shoot featuring redesigned clothes. The magazine was published at the same time as a UN report which found that the fashion industry was causing more greenhouse gas emissions than aviation, and which contained reports and discussion about the challenges of the industry and what was needed to switch to a more sustainable model. Of course, the magazine was printed on environmentally certified recycled paper and it ended with a call to the reader to ensure that the magazine is reused – to close the circle.
